Celebs who’ve passed

I saw them at Lime Street station once. I went over and told them how much I loved the programme.
They were, as you can imagine, completely divine.
Prunella's death brings to end one of the greatest love stories ever.
Gave her a lift home once ... but out of misplaced politeness, I declined the cup of tea she offered. Very, very, nice lady.

And with all the serious acting roles over many decades, she is most remembered for playing an unlikeable character in a light comedy for a quite short time.
But that is also remarkable - we laughed at her and with her - and loved her for her performance of putting Basil in his place time and time again.

My favourite,

Sybil to Basil:
"Oh, and one word of advice: If you're going to grope a girl, have the gallantry to stay in the room with her while you're doing it. Mmmm?"

"I like chips and egg... on a TUESDAY – today is THURSDAY… Where's me steak?!"
I'm smiling that you chose that line. It always bothered me. No one says chips and egg, you have egg and chips. It jarred and has always stuck with me 🤷.

Very fine actress, made a lovely couple with the wonderful John Alderton. A classy duo.

one of my mates who I go to City with knew Mani for years , he said he was a great lad who always had time for people. He was great with his banter especially towards City . Top Manc RIP
