I still listen to some of her songs. Probably brainwashed by playing my parents records when I first discovered the record player. A great voice.

She and her husband (Jonny Dankworth) set up The Stables near Milton Keynes. I used to live in MK and it remains my favourite gig venue. Lovely place.
Obviously too small for any big names, but have seen the likes of Camel, Steve Hackett, Jan Akkerman, Joan Armatrading, Judie Tzuke and many more there.

I was 11 when Mum and Dad played "You'll answer to me" on our record player. Fabulous voice and song that I loved.
One year later I was washed away in a tsunami called The Beatles, but I still love that song today.
