For me that is very true of lots of 'celebrities'. A lot I see on FB and I have no clue as to who they are but for many it must be true of their status.
I think we are then into the merits of A list, B list, C list celebrities. We live in a shallow age now where near enough anyone can claim to be a celebrity and social media will elevate nobodies into that category.
We all have our own internal list of who is a celebrity and who is not

On me jols and having a lovely time. Bro in law just sent a txt message saying a guy I have known for years has passed away after a long battle with Cancer. He is not a celeb and there’s only me on here that knows him. But he was more of an influence to me than any celeb I ever knew. I good proud scotsman who played the pipes with the very best. A true gentleman.
