Wow, wow, wow.

Flat calm and even some sun today. A course that makes you glad to be alive. Probably the most enjoyable course I've ever played. Fair, magic views, great condition. With 4 to play we were gutted that we couldn't sneak on again. All over too quickly.

iPhone ran out of batteries early doors so here's the only picture I got of the practice area. Many more to follow when we're back I'm sure.

Some decent scores too. My guys redeemed themselves today after getting gubbed at Spey Valley by snatching the low handicap prize (35 for Tommy) the mid handicap prize (37 for Alan Min) and contributing to the team prize (85 points for team Jezz). Whereditgo (straight down the bloody middle as usual, Phil) got high handicap on 36 points.

As usual Atticus got the longest drive and Screwback got nearest the pin. Classy golfers both.

Great day. Great event. Most I've spoken to tonight say they'd happily pay the £90 SGU rate to play again tomorrow if they could. Seriously special course.

Played with Fergus Bissett from GM today and exchanged many a glance just acknowledging how lucky we were to be here today.

And we have Nairn tomorrow. Hard life. ;)

I travel regularly up to Inverness to visit my daughter, and I even drive past this way to and from the airport. Looks like I need to make some extra time for a round - I'm up there on May 7th!!

Glad to hear it was as good as expected, I'm definitely going to get up there in the next couple of months. Played my track yesterday and hit my worst score for about 12 months, think my clubs were sulking !

I'd echo everything that John has said. It was even better than I expected, and then more. It is a course that really makes you understand the meaning of 'risk & reward'.

Despite having a nightmare day with my driver I really enjoyed myself thanks in part to the excellent company of Fergus John and Phil.

Many thanks for the team at GM and also at the course for such a memorable day.

Already planning a return trip!

Pig sick guys. Sounds like a great day and my shoulder is almost okay. Definately okay for golf so wish I hadn't withdrawn now.

Hope to see you all at Muckhart

I've now managed to sort out a few pictures so here goes -

The practice ground - pitching/bunker area

Looking towards the range. It has space for about 15 golfers and is supplied with good quality Callaway practice balls.

The 6th from longer range. It's not as close to the water as it looks. The 3rd & 4th lie at a lower level beyond.

The 13th could be unlucky for you if you have a habit of making short hooks off the tee. You could easily loose a couple of double decker buses in here!

Looking down the 18th from about 250yds out.
