Play all winter, hail rain snow or blow.

One of the few good things about being retired means we can pick the best days, but will still play in all but the heaviest rain.More often than not it means carrying, but hey ho,six clubs and the hip-flask in the bag,and off we go.

The course submits before me.
I played in a blizzard in March, only gave up cos I couldn't see where my ball went. Got back to car park.... EMPTY! even pro had legged it.

I've played in snow using orange and yellow balls and only stopped when I had no balls left as the drifts swallowed them all up.

Played in torrential rain with thunder and lightning. Stupid? yes. great game though.

once had a club go further than the ball because the grips were so wet.

I can see it now - extreme golf, sponsored by Red Bull.

Marketing spiel could be good.

"You've seen them in the sun - now see them when it gets extreme - see them in the ..............rain!!!!"

ps
Sorry couldn't resist. But I'll play in almost any weather.

Irish weather deems rain all year round so the only way you know its winter is when itr gets dark earlier!
I work shifts so play mostly through the week, all year round. there must be 25 courses within 30 minutes drive from me so theres always somewhere to play whatever the weather.
keep playin..

actually, the idea of extreme golf has a sort of appeal - admittedly for the mildly insane (but i suspect we may all qualify in that regard). all we need are the venues . . .
