Carne golf links and Westport in Ireland.

Me and Missis T are off to Ireland next Sunday stopping in Ballina. Anyway looking to play both mentioned courses.
Westport because they have an open comp on the Wednesday's. Anyone played them.

Carne is fantastic if you like big rugged links. Enniscrone is close to Ballina and is one of my favourite courses, you really shouldn't miss it if you are staying so close.

I played at Westport when I went to mate's wedding there.

It was over 10 years ago, but considering how many great courses there are in Ireland, I found it pretty bland and hotel-ish to be honest.

Having had a look at Westport I think that has been kicked in the head.

Well ave booked Carne and Enniscrone. The guy at Enniscrone was a very nice man and has sorted me out a lovely deal.
