Hi,

My cart bag has a putter well, as well as 14 dividers, but because I have a big grip on my putter it broke the well, in that it came away from the material.

I was thinking about getting a new bag for Christmas, but honestly there is nothing else wrong with the bag. The money could be spent on a decent trolley or maybe a 5 wood that I need.

Has anyone ever had this issue with the putter well and managed to fix it easily? I'm not very good with this kind of stuff. I haven't seen many repair shops around the area either.

Tape it back on? Any images of the damage so we can help?

I would think that for a small investment (if you don't have it already) some type of glue or tape would fix it.

Ok thanks I'll see what I can find.

The other problem is if I do fix it, will it break again because I have the Big Fatso putter grip, it doesn't just slide in, have to sometimes twist it to get the right angle.

I had the same problem with my Powacaddy pvc bag, and they don't do repairs.
As the material was already torn, I repaired it by pulling the plastic tube up so it protrude about 8mm above the material.
Then pre drilled the tube and fix it in place with a pop rivet through the material to hold it in place.

Still holding after a few months, fingers crossed.

Failing that take it to a cobbler if you can find one .

If funds are available for a bag OR a club you need (5wood) then there is no contest for me. Buy the club and fix the bag.

Cobbler? ha ha. Do they still have that mechanical man hammering a shoe? :)

Ok I tried to fix it, but all the insides have perished really. It's just not going to work. I just have a big unsightly hole in my bag.

I only paid £80 from this golf wholesalers near me. Get what you pay for I suppose.

Have you tried looking on you tube?

Yeah its done for I'm afraid. I reattached it as best I could, but its come away underneath too and time for a new bag. Had it 2 years though and wasn't that expensive. I've kind of out-grown it, and need something more sturdy.
