About 18 months ago I played with JammyDodger at my course. After carving my second ball into the gorse on the 2nd hole he took pity on me and chucked me a B330s he'd picked up and suggested I give it a go. Played 30 holes with that ball before losing it with one of those magically disappearing shots that to all intents and purposes should have been easy to find. But I digress...Anyway since then I've played B330s in the summer and E6s in the winter but stocks are running low. Offer in American Golf for 330RXS balls and I've always wanted to try them but often been swayed to stick with what I knew. Anyway just wondered what the Bridgestone fans think of the 330RXS in comparison with the 330S? Playing tomorrow afternoon but thought I'd post the question anyway...

Played both and the S is a better ball IMHO. It's been a while since I tried the RXS so can't remember what I didn't like but I still had some left when I went back to the S which has to say something

For the average swing spped golfer with the distance of the RX ball but with more greenside spin. Designed for people who swing upto 105mph I believe. Tryed the 330RX and wasnt to overkeen. Havnt tried the RXS.

I used to be right on the 105 swing speed cusp but I've slowed it down recently and have been working on a smoother tempo so confident I'm now in the RX bracket. I've heard the RXS is very soft around the greens which I do like a lot. I guess I'll find out tomorrow :)

I used one around Carnoustie and was impressed with it (someone left a couple on the practice putting green and being a tightfist picked them up when no one came back to get them;)) if i was going to buy any golf balls (which i not by the way) it would be these.

If someone was funding the purchase of new golf balls for me and I had a choice of one ball it would be the RXS.

The last balls I did purchase were the old 3300S (which was the same as the last ProV1 to all intents and purposes) and they are also excellent, as are ProV's, Penta's, Z-Stars etc etc (and the Srixon Soft feel of course!) but my pick-up of choice remains the RXS.

Good ball, there are certain specs that it is more suited to but I find Either you like or dont.

I use B330RXS/Z stars / PROV1. Like em all.

I've said this before about balls, and not wishing to rain on anyone's parade, but I don't honestly believe most of us can really tell the difference between the RXS, RX or S versions of this ball - in the same way there is, to our untrained eye/ear/hand no real difference between Z-Star and Z-Star XV, ProV1 and X, etc etc etc etc ........

If you feel a particular ball increases your confidence then use it. But in a blind test you wouldn't know it from any other premium ball.

+1 to that.

I certainly can't tell the difference between all of these versions, and whilst I could probably tell the difference between a 330S and an e6, I don't think the way I play makes an awful lot of difference 90% of the time .... I certainly can't say that I prefer a soft cover ball because of the way the ball behaves in terms of hop and stop etc. my ball just doesn't behave like that .... and I've adapted what I expect to see based on that and the way I play to make the sure that I play the percentages for a more reliable shot.

Anyway I bought 2 dozen of the cheap optic yellow 330's when AG had them on offer ;)

I use the RXS and like it a lot. I've tried most of the Bridgestone balls, I liked the 330S too, that was good for distance, but the RXS doesn't seem too far behind, and has a softer feel around the greens.

I disagree with Imurg, I think you can feel the difference when you hit a ball, especially when putting or chipping.

One of the magazines, I think it was TG did a blind ball test a couple of months back. The Bridgestone came out top in nearly every person that tried from amateur to pro.

Like wise.

I'm an Average player and can tell the diff between a 3 and 4 piece ball no problem.

I've a lot of older Prov1X balls which are from when Titleist marketed them as for use for swing speed over 115 MPH. These are fine from 100 yards but with the driver a loss of distance off the tee.

The Srixon is the same i can hit the Z star no problem, same distance as a Prov1. if i use a srixon z star xv, much harder to compress with driver and longer clubs.

Bridgstone 330s the same loss of distance and hader to compress than the RX and RXS.

I wouldn't use the SrixonXV at all, but the prov1 X has its uses, if its very windy as its harder to compress i find it spins less and does not balloon in the wind.

Maybe if you have a swing speed over 115 mph you might think everything feels the same, but i doubt it.:)

Oh my word. What a ball. Theres a clear difference between this and the 330S. Absolutely loving the RXS so soft an absolute joy to hit, great around the greens and fantastic on them. I'm off to change my signature and cannot see it changing again. :)

Used E6 for a while, but have just changed to the E7, and now using the E5 for the winter. The E7 lowers my ball flight and adds distance, and the E5 in teh winter adds hight.
