Bridgestone Balls

Why?

Bridgestone have obviously updated the design for a reason!

I may be wrong as I've not looked, but often the "2011" version of a ball has different markings and thats pretty much it.

I have both 2010 and 2011 B330-s and, to me, they are exactly the same. Hence I bought some of the 2010 version at half price.

Each to their own though.

For the B330 Tour the difference is in the cover and the spin rate. They softened the cover a little whilst reducing the overall spin rates off driver and iron shots.

I prefer the 2011 ball myself as I prefer the lower spin it gives me.

Dunno about the other models though.

Glad you are good enough to really be able to tell the difference :D;)

In terms of the cover no... but I really hate seeing the ball zip backwards when it lands. So yes I can tell the difference in that respect. Being able to throw it all the way and see it stop where it pitches is very much my game.

I sometimes wonder if manufacturers hardly change anything but call it the 2011 or whatever ball because everyone else has a 'new year' version.

I liked the blue box (2010?) version of the B330-S so even if they do have a significantly different ball out now I'm still going to like the old one. You never know, I might not like the new one?

There both great balls 2010 & 2011 versions.
Bought couple of dozen of 2010 version from dodger in the summer Whilst I was in the middle if ploughing through the 2011's and I didnt notice the slightest bit of difference between the two,

Fingers crossed my personal shopper picks me up 3 dozen this afternoon! RX or RXS, not really fussed.

Wanting £35 a dozen in AG at World of Golf. Sack that I can get 3 dozen Z-STARS for £75 plus Callaway are about to replace the I(s) so I'll hang fire just now.

Yes it's £35 a dozen which is overpriced IMO, just bought 3 dozen from them as its working out at £19.55 per dozen, seems to good not to try them at that price even though I've never hit a Bridgestone ball in my life.

What school did you go to? £23.33 a dozen if my limited brain capacity is correct!

:D

I use B330s in Summer. Don`t really care that much this time of year as anything stops on our greens at the moment.

Always found Bridgestone to be soooo much more suited to my taste and game than the Titleist offerings, and of course price helps too.

3for 2 also as already stated, £58 for 2 dozen, get 1 dozen free so £19.55ish per dozen, result.

Ive just been in to AG to check and they say it is 2 seperate offers.

the price on the box is £34.99 so under the 3 for 2 offer you can buy 2 for just under 70 quid and get a 3rd box free, hence the £22.33/dozen mentioned earlier.

Secondly there is a seperate 'xmas offer' of 2 boxes for £58, this one cannot be combined with the above.

Has anyone actually got the 2 for £58 and got a 3rd box free(£19.55 ish per dozen)and are they allowed as retailers to run 2 offers, stickers on the same boxes etc and then just state 'oh its one or the other???'

Yes I did, it wasn't a young shop assistant getting it wrong either, as I'd called them first and spoke with one chap to confirm, went into AG and a different chap helped me break a seal to get 3 boxes, went to the till point and a different person rung up £58 for 3 dozen, no umming and erring or asking the manager how this worked etc etc
