Advice wanted i was looking for new shoes liked the look of the new pumas but came across a pair fj in sale
with the boa lacing system after trying on felt the fit was great.
Now i know this lacing system been out for a few seasons now i was worried after a few months it wouldnt be so snug a fit ie loosen of thru time, it's a thin bit of wire does it break easily i like to get a couple of seasons out a pair of shoes would they be good for this.
any forummers who have used them there feedback appreciated.

I've just bought my 3rd pair of FJ Contours with Boa lacing. The previous 2 pairs have been fine, no problems at all. I'd certainly recommend them. And for those with a bad back, they're a doddle to fasten.

They use aircraft grade wire from memory so it should last field ever just about. Must admit I am tempted to get apart myself if I come across them cheap enough.

I have FJ contours with the BOA lacing system and they are the best shoes I have ever had.

Very comfy, easy to put on, no messy, wet laces to undo

Ive had mine about a year, absolutely no problems at all

Happy to recommend

Just Purchased my first pair of boa's in the new 2012 fj sport shoe, totally pumped with my choice, but what was weird was in the 2011 fj sport I was a size 10, but in the 2012 with boa I was a 9.5.............. Weird:whistle:

I don't have first hand experience but know the boa system has been used in snowboard boots for about 8 or 9 years, and I reckon they probably take a lot more stress than a golf shoe. On my list to try for both.

I was so impressed with mine I bought my dad a pair for his birthday. So comfortable and no sign of stretching and the wire is guaranteed for the life of the shoe. Highly recommended and still cannot believe I got mine for under £50

I bought a pair of FJ Contours with the BOA lace system about a year ago. Absolutely love them. Really comfortable and easy to slip on and off. And the BOA lacing system ensures your shoes are nice and snug all the way round. The only thing you have to watch out for is balding PGA pro's creeping up behind you when you are not expecting it and pulling the knob out on the back to loosen your laces. The first time it happened I thought it was funny. The second time I still thought it was amusing. After 9 or 10 goes I was tempted to ram my 4 iron up said PGA pro's arse.

I've told you a million times don't exagerate.
It was only twice.
The rest was just your wishful thinking

I have a pair of the reelfits with the same system. I love the way they support your ankle all the way around, not just at the front like normal laces.

And they never come untied which is a real pain with normal laces.

I'm going to buck the trend here, I had a pair and always had to tighten them every few holes.

Correct size Bob, however I have to admit I never ever felt that I could get them tight enough.

Despite being a renowned FJ shoe freak I never warmed to the Boa system. I thought the dial on the back looked ugly and could never convince myself they would be tight enough. Seems to be plenty of support for them and there are some good deals on them at the moment in various sales. Interesting on the sizing though as I've been a standard 8 medium width in every pair of FJ I've had.

MikeH donated a pair of his reel fits which are child sized (8 - my feet must be only slightly bigger than Mike's!) but just about fit my feet and I've been using them for the range. Had to use them to walk round 18 (mate borrowed my Nikes) and was pleasantly surprised at the support and comfort. I will definitely look at a pair with the Boa system when I replace my shoes next.

Thanks for the replys guys think i will go and buy a pair got to say i thought they were great shoes and on the sizing i was 7 1/2 which is down 1/2 size for me,cheers again
