Results went up today for a junior Stableford held at my club.
1st place was Kieron Prince....

with 52 points!!!!

Wouldn't have like to have been Elliott Hayward. He came in with 41 points and only came 2nd

I think scores like that within junior sections are quite common. When I was a junior I remember comps being won with silly scores. One guy had 50 points off 36 handicap. He's off 1 now.

52 points in the adult section would be met with raised eyebrows - and fists........

What was he off before that comp Smiff?

Give him 5 years and he'll be arriving late on the 1st tee, half cut, reeking of drink, fag hanging out the mouth,no need for a glove cos his fingers are still sticky from his activities a few hours before and he'll be lucky to last 18 holes never mind shoot 52 points!

Just to be an old fart can I say this is the reason that youngsters shouldn't moan when not allowed to play in general club comps unlike my supposedly enlightened club who do let them. Quickly improving Juniors win competitions against people who have had established handicaps for years much to our frustration

I would need to shoot 61 gross round my place to win against that score.
How many times have you shot 16 under your handicap?
In situations like this you can see why Juniors get a hard time on occasions.

I played with my 10 year old son yesterday, he has a junior handicap of 50 based on last years results. We played 9 holes, he wanted to play matchplay. He beat me 4 & 2, had two net 1's and net birdie on every other hole. Would have racked up 26 points if it was a stableford. I didn't do too badly either, I was net -1 for the 9 holes, but no way I'm going to beat him on that form....Hopefully he'll play like that in the first junior comp and they'll slash him a few strokes....

Most clubs state that only juniors off single figures can enter full club comps.
