I know from a few posts there seems a few people who are staying around the Liphook area Sunday night ready for Blackmoor on Monday. Some playing Camberley and some playing the other course which I can remember then name of, anyway.

What are people doing Sunday night for dinner, is it a case of grabbing something at the selected club then back to the lodgings for a sleep, or how does everyone feel about a social gathering at a local curry house or such like. Seems pretty pointless all heading off for super early nights ;)

A meet at a local pub would suit me fine, not sure what's on offer around there though.

I'm supposed to head to Kingsfold (about 20 miles from Liphook) to my friend's pub on sunday to give him his penguin suit/tux back that I borrowed years ago, but if there's a pub meeting within staggering distance of the liphook travelodge, I'd be tempted to change my plans. ;)

Cracking idea.

All those staying over meet up and get completely lashed leaving me with a nice clear head for the golf next day!! :D :D :D :D

sounds good to me, not a major drinker so happy to go without and chuck a few lads in the car. the issue with liphook travel lodge is its on the wrong side of the road and not a junction, but im sure we could find somewhere close. Just seemed alot of people making long trips, why waste it watching antiques road show, we can watch that when the oldies roll up to the tee monday ;)

From what I can remember (I used to live in Liphook), the curry house is excellent.

I'm in, eating before the game Sunday so maybe a light snack washed down by a pint or five sounds great. Don't eat curry but am willing to attend if alcohol is served.

I wouldn't worry too much about the distance, I'm sure if we had an 8 seater taxi it would only add up to a couple of £'s each.

I was wondering how late us lot would be who are playing B Lakes. We arent teeing off until 3 pm so its gonna be 7.30 ish before we even come off the course. I was gonna get a snack or something from the clubhouse cos its gonna be a good hours drive back to Liphook and thats without a social drink after the game too. I probs wont be back to Liphook before 9.30pm then i've got to check in and get a shower etc so I dont think it will be feasible for me to join you.

I want a good nights rest cos i've got to look for full-throttles' balls all day at Blackmoor :D

I could be tempted with a curry in Wokingham after Bearwood if people want to - otherwise, the clubhouse usually serve food past 8pm

Yeah I'm up for something on the night.

I'll happily go with the majority. Few beers and a curry/pub grub would suffice.

Oddsocks and Rick: if you bring the gimp mask I'll bring the ball gags. :o

Nice idea Paul but i'm going to make sure I arrive in time to maybe sit down to lunch with you at 1pm.(do I need to book in advnace btw) That will be my meal for the day and i'll only eat lightly after that. Not sure what the others have got planned though.

So... What's the plans then guys?? :)

If we agree for a curry does any local guys recommend any near the liphook travelodge???

Or any local good pub grub places???
