Put my car in for a service and mot yesterday. When they jacked it up, the front near side suspension collapsed, and the front wheel, with all its ball joints, hub, etc pretty much fell off.
It could have happened at any time while driving.
Scary stuff.

Wow did you not feel like anything was wrong whilst driving it noise wobble etc. Very lucky indeed. What car was it.

Hope the garage are going to pay for all the damage they caused to your car that was in perfect working order when it went in there.

No, it is a small independent i have used for many years, and i have seen the parts and photos. Its pretty real.

They are amazed there was no warning from last years mot. Nothing. Chryslers are just made to a low budget, out of cheap rubbish.

Still love the car though!

I always get one of these in the states on holiday.
But we always said "I would not buy one " it would not last five mins on a potholed British road.
very scary maybe just get it checked every 6 months.

To be fair, it is 11 years old now, 7 of those in my ownership, and i have put 100,000 of the 130,000 miles on it too.

Apart from tyres, and a track rod end, this is the first time i have had to spend any money on it at all. There are less reliable cars out there.

There are also a lot of flipping massive pot holes in north london, and a lot of speed bumps too. It all gets a beasting.
