Played my first comp yesterday after damaging the tendons in my fingers a few weeks ago, also slightly hurting my back on saturday.
Played like a demon coming in level par in the first round of the seniors open. difference being because of the injuries didnt try to hard and swinging easy.
Just hope I can carry that forward to Second round on Thursday.

Its very true. There is something that happens when you are protecting an injury. I'm not sure if its the fear of getting a sudden shock of pain if you swing too hard and fast or rush your way round (I find I walk in a better tempo if that makes any sense) and lo and behold I suddenly count my score and it is normally pretty respectable. Is a pre-match injury the way forward.
