Best round of the year so far!!!

Worked today so my plans were altered but shot accross to a local muni for an £8 twilight round (+£15 buggy).

Now, first of all, the greens were some of the best I have ever seen, on a muni! I kid you not.

Anyway, the golf, not a single blob, 47 points stableford and 86 strokes total (we putted out).

Shot 45 front 9, 41 back 9, played so well its unbeliveable.

Itching to get out again.

Letting us all know he's shooting well so when he tells Mike he's shot net -10 over the weekend for 1 of the prizes it wont look as suss!

Best round so far, is a 89 at Pine Ridge in Frimley, net 70 -2. First time played, 3 Wednesday's ago.

Sunday was a good round of 92 at home course Tylney Park GC, this was good as 4x 7's and a 8 on a Par 4, could have been a nice round if the Driver was working.

Have only been playing since March end, as broken ribs last year, so feel I could be on the up.......fingers crossed, I could be writing a good round on here at the weekend

I've had a mare tonight as it happens....

30 points off 18, 3 lost balls in the first five holes and <u>THE</u> slowest 4ball in the world that refused to let us through until the 6th....the damage was done by then though as I was already fuming and not in the mood.

Had I not had the young un with me i'd have walked off at the 5th!

The young un was chuffed though, he got his first ever par today! None before ever and he got 2 today

Not entering this weekend so not in contention.

The way I played today reminded me of last year when I had 85, 83 & 82 in three rounds in a row.

I played bloody well today even if I do say so myself and my mate was given a comprehensive hiding.

Drives were good, bunker play excellent and anything on the green inside 6ft went down.

Had it not been for 3 birdie putts that lipped out and 2 duff chips I would have had a PB today.

I've been feeling the same lately, now i've sorted my driver out (i'm hitting loads more fairways now than i've ever done) but now my irons have gone to pot a bit

They'll all magically come together over the next few weeks and i WILL shoot a sub 80 round.
