How come Barca who alot of you think play in an inferior league still managed to brush aside a team who was seen prior to kick off to be the Favourites? Because they were the better team on the day

I think alot of that favourite tag was down to the press thinking that they had the right to be favs cos they play in the EPL which in my opinion is sooo overated, I'd imagine that if there was a favourite tag ( I'm not totally sure they were seen as huge faves by anyone ), it was because they were holders, who had won their league for a second year running, and who didn't have any major injuries to their defense

yep the top 4 are decent teams but the rest are either run of the mill or plain crap and that hindered Man U.....how many times do they come up against a team even anywhere near as good as Barca? When was the last time Man U were made to look as bad as a Toon side playing Liverpool? When was the last time Man U looked as clueless as they did last night?Barca were different class with the ball and different class without it too! Yes, Barca deserved to win. Noone here has argued that. That has nothing to do with your logic that then makes the whole league worse than the Spanish league. Fergy made mistakes, which were made worse by some of his players performing below expectation. As you yourself say, Utd breezed past every other club from several leagues to reach the final. No other team in Europe for a couple of seasons ( inc Barca last year, don't forget ) were good enough to challenge them.

Fergie has wasted some dosh over the years. He has a real scatter gun approach to the transfer market. Nani and Anderson, 30m, Carrick, 30m, Veron, 30m, wow, they were all top buys. It made me laugh (ok, Arse lost, so not much), but the United bench in the CL cost more than the whole Arsenal squad. Without all the cash to splash, he would be the worst manager in the prem.
Nonsense. He has earned the right to splash the cash, because he built United on a successful youth policy, just as he did at Aberdeen. Once the home grown players had got Utd back to being a winning team, the sponsorships and money followed, and Fergie could splash. What did he pay for Strachan? £1m for Cantona. Yorke? Cole? Schmiechel? He has bought well more often than he's bought badly.

A guy who did what he did with Aberdeen, and has done what he's done to Utd - a team who apart from FA cups had been barren for a long long time - is without doubt the best manager the world has seen to date.

Domestic Violence is the biggest issue after football games in Scotland. This happens on a far bigger scale than murder ever does.

Many a fan will end up with a 2 night lie in after Sat's games.
