Ok I'm sticking my head on the line with 20mins left but have you ever seen such a one sided final? Man U have been nothing short of dire and Barca have simply footballed them off the park....you canny win a game without the ball at ya feet and that has been Man u's problem.
Best league in the world your having a laugh.
 
tbh Spanish football is ALL diving whereas the Prem is about fitness, skill and over paid footballers.

Mind you there is no point it talking about other UK Sunday league nations.
 
none of which have won.Vastly overated league with 4 decent teams and the rest making up numbers.Barca have tonight proved that they are far and away the best team in Europe despite playing in a league that isn't awash with all the money of the EPL.Some fantastic football is played in the Spanish league and I could count on 1 hand the good games I have seen this year in England.
 
Don't agree there ,yes the Premiership is good but the Spanish football is a joy to watch ,my kids watch that to learn what pass and move is all about there technical abilty is superb.
 
Sorry Dodger but the banks and cities own the clubs, that means the tax payers pick up the bills of the clubs with dodgy dealings and have by far larger spending power.

I agree though Man U where whitewashed tonight, SAF shouldnt have changed tacitcs after the first goal as Barca where on the ropes for the first 10 minutes and would have gone down the pan if they hadnt scored.
 
Don't forget that this Barca team has been ravaged by injury! None of the back 4 are regulars, or playing in their normal positions! Also three untried youngsters on the bench such is the state of the injury problems! Yet they still played Man U off the park and deserved the win! In fact, probably their poorest player on the night was Henri, and they didn't think he'd be fit either!
Fair result I thought!

I'll agree that United were stuffed tonight but La Liga has only 2 teams. At least the Premier has 4. Lots of Spanish football is s****.
What about Celtic joining the Premier League? And the Gers?

First goal was always going to be critical.
I only saw the second half but have to agree ManU were poor.
It looked like a poorish game generally. Finals usually are.

I dont agree about the premiership not being strongest. Barcelona before tonight had only beaten an English team once in 8 tries in the CL. Chelsea very nearly knocked them out in semis.

Arsenal stuffed Villareal in last 8, Liverpool stuffed Real Madrid in last 16.

Barca are the best team in Europe but premiership is still strongest league in Europe,

I would have liked to have seen Liverpool take on Barca, they'd have made a better fist of it.

England don't need the Old Firm. If Rangers and Celtic were put in the Championship they would struggle to get out. If they got into the Premiership one would go down within 3 years and then they would want back into the Scottish League.

All NON Old Firm fans in Scotland would love to see the back of them. They are a cancer on society.

Strong words, Madandra. England already has its share of hatred and murder. What's wrong with Celtic and Rangers in a British Premier League? Dundee and Hearts playing in a second flight?
 
My mate is a 'polis' in Glasgow and he says that after EVERY old firm game an average of FIVE men will not be seeing their families again. Am sick to death with the religious content from both sides. The whole anti bigotry campaign was the biggest sham ever because all they have done is stop the singing inside the ground because they is still an inbred haterd on religious grounds.

Aye Chelsea were robbed, then Man Utd lost to Barcelona as well. Just luck you know.

This is exactly what I expect to hear, the English league was the best for years despite nothing to back it up, then when they started to dominate the Champions League, that was used as a pointer, then when it turns against them, well there's this and that, but we're still the best.

Utter rubbish.

The EPL has never been the best except in the eyes of SKY, and the mugs in this country fall for it hook line and sinker and pay a fortune every year to watch a bunch of games that are on the whole dross.

As for the final itself. Barca have proved they are the best team in the world, TONIGHT. This time last year they weren't. This time next year they won't be. Whilst I'm no Man U fan, any team that makes the final 2 years on the trot can't be all bad. And didn't Utd knock Barca out last year too ?

Enjoy the game, enjoy seeing Utd get beat. But don't be too quick to slag off something I'm sure you obviously don't understand very well. That's not your fault though - being Scottish you don't get to watch much proper football, do you. :cool:

Maybe not but we are not deluded enough to think our league is the greatest and every 4 years we'll win the world cup or european championships like you English. If your league is so great why is there so many empty seats at grounds week in week out it cant be that good then can it. :cool:
