Delighted to report I went round today in 86 shots and 43 s'ford points! Only a friendly game but still feels good.
Broke 90 a few times last year but not since the summer. apart from breaking open the bubbly, decided to think about what I did right
Played quickly (thanks to a partner who favours 'speed golf' - fast is good
Tried hard to focus on playing the shot, not thinking abut the outcome
Also applied this to putting - no 3 putts at all
Played a few bad shots but rarely 2 in a row (what a difference!) - though I confess to having the run of the ball once or twice when close to a hazard!
The only down side is that after an atrocious round on Sat my handicap is bound to go up. Just hope I can pull out some decent golf in up-coming comps to take it down again.
Now setting the seal on my good day by sharing it with all you 'real' forumers - old and new.
