Actually I do see endless debates on road deaths and how to reduce them. 20mph speed zones, speed cameras, drunk and drug driver tests, mobile speed traps, traffic calming, increased penalties for dangerous driving. Only last week it was reported that life imprisonment for causing death by dangerous driving was under consideration. But seemingly you can't get locked up for planning a terrorist attack, offering to be a suicide bomber, planning a break in to fund the purchase of firearms or drug dealing.
But you are right. Bad things happen in the world so let's all relax and do nothing. That's really going to make things better. That's a great way to beat terrorism. Let them do what they want. I mean why all the fuss? It's not like someone died is it? Oh wait...

Maybe there would be less of a terrorist threat if we installed more pedestrian crossings!
