Just played our second round on the Carya today. Played really well for the first 7 holes, had a very unfortunate disappearing ball just off the fairway after a good strike on the 8th - all downhill after that, see you Wednesday.

Well thats the furthest I've travelled for a forum meet, all the way to Turkey to meet Jim and his mates for a round! The invite was very nice of you, thank you.
The TAT course was good, a very testing layout. Green a bit TATty in places but fast and challenging. I didn't play any other courses but the one I did see looked far more immaculate than the TAT. I played Ok, shot 87 and 33 points but most importantly I helped Jim win the matchplay and secure a point for his team!
I can highly recommend TAT as a holiday destination as well as a golf destination. Our hotel was lovely, food was great and the staff attentive. The only issue was the Russians are the No1 tourists out there so we come after them in the pecking order! I'll certainly be looking at going back for a golf holiday in the future.

On the flip side there is NOTHING else to do there other than golf, tennis, eat and drink.
