When entering scores I generally use MyEG and my mate uses ig, both systems seem to work okay, however, we are off to Spain very soon and I can't seem to find out whether either of those systems allow general play cards to be entered from a foreign country.
Is there anyone on here who can give me a definitive answer?
Thanks in advance.

You can’t use myEg

You can only use it in England , Scotland , Wales , Ireland and NZ

And you won’t be able to use IG

That can only be used at the home club

Our players notify me in advance of their intentions. They then email or WhatsApp me with their scores, which I enter via Handicapmaster.

Your club handicap committee will be able to advise what process they have in place for preregistration and submission of scores from outside GB&I (and NZ - the only other jurisdiction currently linked).

I went to France to play 5 rounds a year or so ago. I informed my handicap sec before I went that I'd like to pre register and submit scores.

He asked me to email a photo of the signed scorecard, including course, tees, and ratings after each round. He entered the scores that day, and by each morning my handicap record was nicely up to date.

Of course, that methodology relies on you having someone on Committee available and willing to enter the scores.

So, pre-declaration?
In the UK pre register action has to be in the day itself, being booked into a round or competition weeks beforehand is not sufficient.
I am not sure if this rule is relaxed for rounds in other jurisdictions. I can obviously see how awkward this would always be to achieve.

Pre-registration has to be done on the day itself? Is that specifically in the Rules?

My mate has scores in his record from the US. He could not do it on the Scottish Golf app. What he did was email a picture of his completed, signed scorecards and the match sec at the club put them through somehow.

We have ig at the club, I think you can only use that for entering scores at my home club.
