Hi John, welcome back.
I'm back after about 2 1/2 years out, looking to join a club and get a handicap again as my last handicap of 8 will have elapsed.

What? No gossip at all? I was hoping for at least a few major talking points while I've been in hibernation. You've all gone soft and friendly, obviously.
Good to hear it's just the same as before though.
It felt like Barlinnie..but I put the clubs away deliberately for 6 months and vowed not to venture onto the Forum to avoid distractions. I've been studying for my Edinburgh Black Cab brief, which I'm pleased to say I passed on Wednesday. Needless to say, I had a game of golf yesterday AND today. Lovely to be back on the course. Tee shirt weather both days, too. Bonus.
Apart from an inexplicably sore knee it's all good. And off up north to Castle Stuart, Nairn etc again in May. I'll need to get practicing. Any tips, anyone?

Yep, don't get to pissed the night before it ruins the golf for the following day.
