I've been watching the BBC's coverage for most of the day and I have to say this year it has been excellent. No footballers or cricketers as interviewers, coverage of a lot of different golfers and what a treat to have Jacklin and Alliss on commentary together.Keep up the good work BBC!

I was irritated by the lack of coverage of Paul Lawrie, considering how well he was doing.

They initially showed his chip ins (recorded), later his putts and eventually started showing his approach shots when he was right at the top of the leader board.

Meanwhile we saw every sclaff Justin Rose hit...

Sure I saw a Redknapp being interviewed...does look good though, no sound on in the office for me....

Once they figured out how to track the ball they have been fine ... First hour in the morning was dreadful for not knowing where the ball was!!

Don't whatever you do listen to Radio 5, you'll get Clare 'lets see your teeth' Balding. They've also got some utter joker doing the post round questions.

I was also disappointed with some of the 5 Live coverage, they normally do a good job at the Open.

Only slight disappointment is that the coverage does not start until 9.00. As it about the only golf on the BBC and it is their cameras etc there then it would be nice to see coverage from the first shot to the last (then I could get an hour or so in before work) even if it was only on the red button

was lucky at work today so managed to watch most of the morning on iplayer :)

I think the site must have been hammered at lunchtime though as it was buffering like a good un.

Not bad coverage, not as good as sky but decent all the same.

Where's Faldo or is he weekend only once they sort the wheat from the chaff :)

Really enjoyed the coverage today and I thought Alliss was on top form...not everybody's cup of tea I know but he really is an institution.

Was it just me or did anyone think the cameramen were really struggling to pick up the ball flight. I watch Sky's golf coverage regularly and they don't seem to have the same problem. Maybe it was the grey sky that was foxing them!

Up until a few years ago the coverage started when the first group went out. I always used to catch 30 mins before going to work.

No big deal today though,I took the day off.

5 live was dissapointing. Listened to @OpenRadio on the net all day at work which was excellent and I was hoping 5live would be similar for the drive home but it wasn't very good at all.

It's on from 9am - 8pm tomorrow.

And I'm working all day, and picking my Brother up from Gatwick Airport and won't get back until gone 8pm.

Will just have to Sky-plus it.
