Bargain New Addition - The 3i

for the complete 2010 season I feared my 4iron, that much so that it was never even in the bag, But with recent lessons and swing changes the 4iron and i have renewed our friendship, so much so that its becoming a go to club.

So with this in mind and me struggling with a high ball flight on windy days, ive been looking for a 3iron for about 3 weeks, but on ebay i can only find tour burner 3i heads in the states, nothing uk based.

Low and behold, they boys were at silvermere shopping yesturday and one of them picked up and brand new burner tour 3i for a tenner.... yup ten hole english pounds and i have my new toy in the bag. Not sure on teh current shaft that fitted (re-ax graphite regular) as all my irons are steel regular, but i shall give it a rip tomorrow and see if it needs changing. A local shop fits true temper DG shafts for £19.00 supplied and fitted so either way should work out a cheap club.

I love my 3i, but have to be in the right place swing-wise to really get the most out of it. A well struck 3i is a thing of beauty and joy

hopefully i will get to experience this thing of beauty... At the moment im using knocked down 4i's as appraoch shots on a windy day, but sometimes 3/4's a 4i isnt white enough, if it serves no other purpose than to be in the bag for low punchy approaches from around the 180 mark id be happy.,

i swapped my 3hybrid out of the bag for the original 3 iron last weekend ... hit it twice, and both huge slices ... hybrid back in the bag

if im slicing i know im swinging well, its teh dam duck hooks i cant stand.

Good club to have as an option off the tee in summer when the fairways are running. I like to use on dog legs when position off the tee is paramount. Enjoy it and don't fear it!

This baby is a missile launcher. So much so I've found the matching 2i on eBay from the states am I'm very very tempted. A pured 3iron is the orgasmic...
