Ball Swapping - Titleist to Srixon? Others?

I use the Titleist DT Solo for practice rounds and general play and break out the Pro V1's for competitions.

The DT solo is a great ball for practicing out on the course and it comes off the putter identical to the Pro V1.

I used to use Nike balls but the Pro V1 seems to be alot better.

I can't use the harder balls as they are so difficult to control around the greens.

Ash!!

Only Srixon ball I would use is the Tour Yellow Z Star in the winter. Really does stick out well on grey back grounds and you can see it on a fairway (or rough) from a long way away. The softer green make up for the lack of responsivness from the Z - Stars.

I highly rate Callaway tours, Pro V1's and Pentas. I can often change between these depending on mood.

The yellows are simply brilliant in drizzly or dark days. They are just very hard to lose! Certainly saved me a few shots in Liverpool in October :D :D

I play with Pro V1's, B330's, Pentas, Z-Stars or Callaway Tour balls. All good and all about the same in my view.

For the rest of the year+, it will be the Callaway Tour i(z) as I have just bought 15 dozen with my company logo on them! I played with them for the first time yesterday and played very well so no complaints. A very good ball in my view.

Snelly.

Edited to say one other point which is I think that most people would notice a difference between a premium ball and a hard ball like the 333. For example, I played 18 holes yesterday morning with a Callaway Tour and chipped very well indeed. Played greensomes in the afternoon and first chip I had with my partners ball was executed well but ran on for 8 feet further than expected and this was in the main, due to the ball. Of course, it is fine if you are used to the amount of roll and the way it interacts with the club face but the difference is pretty big in my view.

i use Srixon AD333 and quite like them however just started hitting a bridgstone e6 and my god it was long and straight ,bit different round the greens tho!
cant get on with pro v1 off the tea but admit its a fantastic ball round the greens
