Ball marking

I picked up a ball made by Noodle marked long and soft. As I was playing with a Paul Needle I pointed out that although they had spelled his name wrongly they obviously knew something about him. This made me wonder why nobody has produced a ball marked long and hard as I am sure it would find a ready market particularly among some of the contributors to the golf rules forum.
