I have an old TM Burner Tour driver but as I'm at Silvermere next week for the Titleist opportunity this isn't for me. I could be persuaded to "lend" it out

Well what a bummer having yesterday getting fitted for the R15 Driver.
Having the opportunity to be fitted for Driver and woods is an amazing opportunity.
Gutted as I would have been up for this even though nothing beats my old Burner 3 wood.
I used the Driver on the course today and it is just superb.

I have an old Burner 5 wood, but unfortunately Wentworth is a bit too far from Anglesey, any chance of some these opportunities in the north?

It's not only Golf Monthly who do these sorts of offers, all the other golf publications do the same and they are always in the south. I'm sure that I'm not the only golfer in the north that thinks this either.

GM are based in the south as are most of the main manufacturers. Where do you expect them to do their free product testings??? Oh and if you'd been on here longer you'd see that there was one based in Scotland just last month!
What bugs me is you seem to feel that the mags and manufacturers should move these about to suit you, almost that you have a right to attend one of these and be close to your home!
Oh and posting a moan about a freebie being too far from home is hardly getting involved in the forum!!!

I do not feel they need to suit me at all, but it would be nice to have a similar opportunity in North Wales or the North West.
I'd rather a response from Golf Monthly themselves about this, to be honest I don't know why you're getting a bit hot under the collar about my post.

They have just had an opportunity for Mizuno drivers in the NW
But to come onto the forum and first posts complain about no opportunities near you will not sit right with people on here.

It is a fantastic opportunity, I agree. I am not complaining at all, just wondering why pick a venue in the south that is quite far for people in the north of the country to get to.
I didn't see the Mizuno driver freebie.

And if you do get picked to be fitted for over £500 worth of golf equipment then a £50 petrol bill is nothing
Should it be in the North so that people in the South have a long distance yo travel ?

Try looking at it through the companies eyes rather than your north west tinted ones and you may work it out!

Looks like my R5 qualifies 
Went back to it a while ago as I'm so much straighter with it.
As for Wentworth, I live in South Wales and would be more than happy to drive there for the opportunity. If you decide it's too far then hard lines and wait for another one I can't see them paying travel costs as well
