Hi All,

I have been having some dealings with Trackman the last few days on a work project so have been doing a little more than my usual golf geekness.

Anyone near the edinburgh area......go see Scott Gourlay at Craigmillar Park GC, he has the very thing.

He will even set all your irons to make sure they have the correct gap between each shot.

Still have the 53s, I am focusing on myself rather than my equipment. I am well over my personal swing panic(again) and all is ok with the world at the moment. In an ideal world I would change my shafts for Project X 5.5 but that is for another day.

The interest in this case is with Trackman and is a company project.

Been lucky enough to try one of these and it is a great piece of kit although my numbers were horrid. If I was going for a C/F I might be tempted to shop around and see if anywhere had one of these. I'm wondering if they are more accurate than other monitors because of the way it works. Probably wouldn't make an iota of difference to my results (rubbish is rubbish) but would be interesting to know if there are variations

The pro I go to for lessons has one and it really makes a difference when you see the ball flight and also have the numbers to back it up. They even do a half hour on it indoors where it will sort out your distances for each club.

whats the trackman at AG like? it doesnt seem to have the radar behind the ball as per alex's video?

I wouldn't trust any launch monitor in AG. Personal experience has taught me the settings are ramped and that those operating it have diddly idea what the numbers mean. Just my opinion of course but I'd stay well clear

Trackman is the most accurate on the market. It has 4 dopla radars in it. Trackman 3 will have 5 and is coming soon...
