Thought this was 'A Forum'

I asked a couple of reasonable questions 4 hours ago on The Forum and they were moved to 'Ask The Experts'

Have not received a response and my question is who are the 'Experts' and who decides where the posts go?

Sometimes Rules questions are on here sometimes not.

What I am after is consistency. Not as many people look at The other pages as this one.

Rant over but would appreciate a reply provided this does not go to 'Out of Bounds!!'

Weekends tend to be very quite here. I always assume that is because this is the time when all the chat, tips reading and practice can be put to use on the course.

The mods will move posts to were they feel they will get the most fitting response. I believe they have been responded to now both in around 2 hours of posting. The tone of your rant seems a little inappropriate.

That is YOUR opinion.

I had NOT received an answer
!
The only reason I was on here so early was because our course was waterlogged

The mods are the "experts" who decide I suppose and as Bob said above we will move things to a more appropriate section of the forum.

If you have any other questions or queries drop me or one of the other mods a pm and we will be happy to answer your questions regarding the forum

Bob has the credentials to answer swing queries, and Ethan seems to be sufficiently clued up in the shaft dept, other than that, people are just voicing an oppinion.
I do agree with the thread moving point though,as surely the page/section that gets most views,is likely to generate more response's.

yep, i agree.
The 'ask the expert' section puzzled me when i first found the forum and i still think it would be better integrated into the lounge section.

But then why have different sections to the forum and not just one mahoosive section? Most folks tend to use the active topics bit anyway (so I believe) so it doesn't really matter what section they go in in that case.

I asked a question about my Handicap, which was moved from the lounge, and put into the "ask the expert" section, which i don't have a problem with, but do i need an "expert" to answer my question ?
Somebody may have been in a similar position to mine, and could have commented on there own experience, when faced with the same scenario ?

@op: Easy tiger you will get a response when you get one and a little less of an abrasive attitude will serve you well.

I have not looked at your posts but I would guess you asked a question. A mod moved it and later went on to explain why. The mod clearly thought you wanted the best response but you seem to just want the fastest or most responses?!

On the Ask The Expert section my understanding is that for the most part if a poster can offer information of a factual nature then that is of use in this section and therefor they are an "Expert" on that point. It's pretty clea who knows what they are on about in there anyhow. It's a great part of the forum.

My thoughts entirely.

Ask the experts doesn't necessarily mean there's a panel of "Eggheads" sitting in front of a screen waiting for questions. It's a free forum so available for anyone to answer should they wish to do so.

Going ape$hit just because someone's moved a post doesn't do any favours.
As a previous quite rightly said, the Ask the experts section is widely used and gets lots of replies.

Peace! :)

Define 'expert'?...................

In reality the section is for golf related queries but then again so is the lounge, so maybe it should be signposted clearer but as to what then that is up to the mods and admin.

As the Forum grew in popularity there were issues keeping on top of the various threads posted. GM did ask for ideas as to how to improve the Forum before the current format was decided upon. There's probably still a thread within the 'How To Use The Forum' section describing the Forum layout. It is easier to use now compared with two or three years back.

As to the question of who the experts are, we are all experts.... aren't we ;) ;)
