I'm sat here in my room at my parent's hotel, looking out over the Bracken course at Woodhall Spa. Sun shining, and about 15 degrees outside, and wondering why I'm not playing! 
Been working all morning and actually finished earlier than expected. Didn't think I'd have time for golf this weekend, so didn't bother to bring my clubs.

Let me get this right. Your parents own a hotel overlooking the bracken course at Woodhall Spa and you don't have any golf clubs there? Or did I read that wrong?

Had early tee managed full 18 so managed to get first hcp card in, typical I shot worst round in 3 months!! On the plus side my daughter went to the junior introduction this afternoon, she being only 7, printing me she is in the top 2% of all the girls he has coached in her age group!! She did nail some lovely 6 iron shots today.

Get a cheap spare set or even a half set and leave them there with a cheap pair of shoes. Then it's job done anytime you're up there and fancy a knock

Popped in to our club this afternoon and was the only person in the bar at one point. Weather was so poor even those out sledging weren't bothering to use the course. By the time I was going home, the snow was turning to slush so it'll be kind of wet underfoot for the next few days.
