Hi All,

I have just been looking through Mizuno irons time line(http://golf.mizunoeurope.com/irons/irons-timeline.php) as I recall that my irons are now a little over a year old. I note that to some end Mizuno do bring out new irons every year but not always a full range.

We have just had all the new woods that no one seems to have made a sound about... Are we expecting new MP or JPX in 2012?

How long were the MP-52,57,62 and so on in service?

Al

We can only hope! :D Not that I'll have the money to buy any :(, they're always nice to look at though! As we've just had the MP 59/69's I would expect a JPX/GI release next, but as they've pushed the JPX and the newer JPXHD's recently, who knows.

Regarding the woods, I'm not shocked that they've gone under the radar, but all reviews and opinions I'm reading (from non mizuno biased places) are that they are pretty awesome bits of kit.

hoping for an mp53 replacement i think they've been out for over 2 years now

Na, I got mine at xmas last year and they had only been out a month or so at the time.

@Stevie, join the force buddy!!! I have just been looking at MP 67`s on ebay... I dont know why really but I really want some blades.... I wonder if Mel would let me put them up over the fire place?

Jon, your a mod, just make a Mizuno section.

Ye I wonder if the fact that we have had the HD and the new blades that that may be that until xmas this year. Hope so!!!

I don't care what they bring out,There's. No way I'll be changing my mp53s anytime soon. They're the best iron I've owned by a long way.
Getting fitted made the difference for me, but still a great iron.

A bloke at the range the other day was more of a Mizuno nut than me. He currently has (well, has just sold) a combo 53/63 set. I had a hit with his 63 9 iron which was lovely.

He'd just bought a MP68 6 iron from eBay as he wasn't sure whether to go 59 or 69 in the 6 iron of his new combo set(!!!) Had a couple of swings with it!!! Felt absolutely incredible and looked awesome.

A Mod, I may be, but they don't give me that kind of power (they're not stupid! :D)

like wise, very happy with my mp62 and expect to get another 5 years out of them, plus have my 32's to fall back on as well.

I'm thinking of getting some new irons this year, and may have to look at what Mizuno are offering. The MP-53's do look rather good, but I think I could do with the extra forgiveness the JPX-800's give. We'll see, got to try and get it past HID first.

Absolutely love my MP-57's and would not change them for quite a while.

I did hit the MP-58's a couple of weeks ago when my mate was being fitted for new irons and thought that they were no different to the MP-57's. Aesthetically though the 58's are better looking!

I somehow got the go ahead from the Mrs to get my 53s reshafted this week... I have no idea how I got away with it. I am working very hard though, maybe she just thought I deserved it. I am meant to not be spending anything really....

Bring on the new shafts, its going to be like a new set of clubs!!!

You what? With that big bulge on the back? No thanks! Much prefer the look of the 57's myself! And likewise, like you, I love my 57's. I do like the KBS Tour shafts my mate has in his 59s though - might see about getting them re-shafted at some point.

If you don't mind me asking, Al, how much did the re-shaft set you back?

Old I know but I've seen some Mizuno MP-52's at a rather good price.

I may be tempted.

Go for it Gareth. I have a set and they are lovely forgiving irons, which look great behind the ball. Can't see me changing them for some time unless I come into a windfall, and then would go for the 59's !

Never seen anything in the mizuno line up that has jumped out and screamed buy me.... I do fancy a brand change at the end of the season but not sure what too, probably will be cally razr x forged

A swap for a set of 52's would be the only way I could get rid of the 57's - they were the other club I was looking to get (and in hindsight, may have been a better fit for my handicap - but couldn't pass up the 57's.

Well that or a lottery win and a set of JPX Pros to replace them!

I have sent them to a guy in Scotland, Parcel Farce were a day late picking them up so that was free. The shafts that are being fitted (PX 5.5) have been pulled from a set of his customers irons and I have been told they are in perfect conditions. He is going to steam off my ferrules as they have my serial numbers on them and reuse them, same with the grips. fit them all back together and send them back to me for a round trip cost of £160 inc P&P

It is a very marginal call as I could buy two new irons for that money but that would still leave me needing 4 more irons. I hope to get some money back for my current shafts although I am rather aware that they are a stock shaft in many other irons so I dont think they will be snapped up for huge bucks.

There is only two grams difference between the Dynalight XP and the PX, the PX are a little more stout and a lot lower launch. I guess I have done this as I want what I want. It will not change my life as we know its about the fleshy idiot at the end of the club that counts but... I want what I want.

AG wanted £320 for the same job, although clearly for new shafts. PX are expensive though so it will depend what you are after.

What are you after? KBS?
