Fresh from our recent trip to St Mellion over the week-end, the guy that organised the trip for us contacted me today to say that he could offer the same deal next year if I booked up fairly early. They must be keen for business.... ;) ;) ;)

So who fancies it?
The facilities are fantastic, with two courses...the Kernow and the world famous Jack Nicklaus signature course.
The Kernow is a short course, but tight and in very good condition, with some really lovely holes especially on the back 9.
But the Nicklaus is something else. It really is a beast and one of the toughest (if not the toughest), courses I have ever played.
Beautifully manicured, superb greens, wonderful bunkering and some truly menacing water hazards. Every hole will have you asking questions about your game.
The deal.....
3 nights bed, breakfast and three course evening meal (sharing a twin bedded room) with five rounds of golf (3 on the Kernow, 2 on the Nicklaus) included.
The dates?
Monday 23rd July - Thursday 26th July. Travel down Monday morning, play the Kernow on Monday afternoon, the Kernow again on Tuesday morning followed by the Nicklaus in the afternoon, and then the same on Wednesday. Stay overnight and travel back early Thursday morning, or stay and play another round if you want at a reduced rate.
The price...
£318.00 all inclusive.

I have provisionally booked enough rooms for 8 other players, so if you fancy it let me know.
I will require a £50.00 deposit almost immediately as I have to commit to the booking to get the discounted rate.
Any other questions, please ask.
Rob

st mellion is a great course, head pro david moon top bloke too, heavy walk round there though for 2 rounds, for me best course in cornwall is st enodoc but a long way

just to throw my tuppenny's worth in.

If you play it you'll love it. Played it twice on hols 2 years ago, finished 2nd in an open, part of the prize was a free fourball, but as its so far away, they let me have a free round again on the nicklaus and one on the Kernow, which is also good.

It is the best parkland course I have played. I would say if you live within 2 hours drive to go along, you wont be disappointed.

there all stuck up down rock... never played the g/c but just the people in general.. full of holiday homes and toffs...

its is abit posh there but if you can look past it what it leaves you with is 1 on the best and toughest links courses in the land, the 10th hole is 1 of the hardest holes ive played ,in 6 attemps ive never scored better than a double bogey

Just a "bump" for this in case some of you missed it. Anybody else fancy it????

Funnily enough I found this thread doing a search yesterday and was wondering if there was still time.

I'd love to come please (now my future's a bit brighter) if there's still space?

Hi Gary there are still places available mate. I originally booked up for eight people, so far I have about five, so three places still up for grabs. The only reason I have "bumped" this is because I had the guy on the phone from St Mellion the other day chasing me up for numbers. I'd really like to get at least 8 players for the trip to make it worthwhile though mate. Rob

In that case, count me in please. :)
Do you want a deposit sending?

For anyone else thinking about it, the place is brilliant. Do it!
