Something is seriously wrong with her. She has now been seen "shaking" three times now. I'm sure things are being covered up until she retires, I think she's said that after this current German parliament that's her done, so she's trying to battle on until she reaches this date. Very silly. If she's ill, she's ill and should get to the doc's and get herself sorted.

There are all sorts of things which can cause tremors/shaking, many of which are not serious.

I'd be surprised if she hasn't had it investigated and got a diagnosis. She just doesn't want to share it with the world, which is her right.

I think anyones medical state is their own business. The difficulty when you are the head of a govt is that you are a very public figure and so your medical issues are played out in public. She clearly has some issue going on and the more it happens the greater the pressure to release the truth of what is happening. That is the only way to stop the speculation.

Whatever it is I feel sorry for her that it is happening in front of everyone.

I remember David Niven turning up on Parkinson and having slurred speech. A number of people thought he may have had a stroke or being drunk but it turns out it was the start of Motor Neurone Disease.
The problem with Merkel not saying anything is that it just leaves everything open to speculation. As has been said, if it doesn't affect her mentally then making it public could reduce the stress of trying to keep it quiet.
Like it or not, she's in the public eye so people will speculate.
