I will be hoping that Murry wins.

Me too. Statistics show he has a chance.

I watched him win in Cincinnati (?) enjoying a beer (or 5) in a pub in Musselburgh. I used to dislike him because of his anti-brit stance, but I'm over that now and wish him luck even if he would prefer a wide sea between the nations. :)

I always go for any GB and Ire player/team in a match vs. anywhere else. Even as a LFC supporter I love to see the likes of Man U and Chelsea beat teams from abroad.

Or maybe not..........

Still not good enough, but he's still only 22, and as long as he is still willing to learn, it's just a matter of time.

I find it hard to believe that Feds is only 28, though. He seems to have been around for generations. Nadal has already shown how tough it is to compete with him, and now Murray has got to find a couple of extra gears when it matters.

But I'm sure Murray'll win a major within the next year or two. We just have to remember that Feds is arguably the best ever.

agree and hope he'll win a slam but his serving will have to improve!!!! I'm a big fan of andy but you have to say Fed is well better and a deserving winner.

Watched a bit and agree the 1st serve percentage of Murray needs to be better. At 5-2 ahead in the 3rd I thought he could make a match of it but credit to Federer he's some player.
Federer looked the better player throughout.

Murray has to win a slam soon as Nadal ain't what he was and Djokovic is no better than Murray.

The words Nail, hit and head spring to mind!

Reackon Feds has a picture in the attic!

Andy will get there - just no quite good enough today.

I was rooting for Murray to win, but he's just not quite there yet. I watched the start of the 3rd set tie break, had to go out before the finish. If he could have taken that 3rd set, then maybe, just maybe he might of ground him down, which I think Murray is really good at. He WILL in my opinion, win a major soon, but only when Federer is on the decline, the guy is just awesome and makes the game look easy and hardly breaks out in a sweat.

As already mentioned, at only 22 Murray has plenty of time on his side.

I think a true legend showed Murray how to get the job done today. I don't think Murray disgraced himself and his time will come.

Agree, federer was class today his serves where top notch which IMO won him the match i was routing for murray but could not help but admire federers composure.

True legend and possibly the best sportsman in the world at the moment???

Could be. I watched a fair bit and R.F. was as ruthless as ever and (unless it was me) seemed even faster and more effective at finding the lines. Murray was terrified of Fed's forehand and fell into being dictated to by him. At times the rallies built up wide angles but Andy seemed too afraid to take the risk of going down the court knowing he'd get a beast in return.

He is though a massive knob.
Did he appear like that to you? I've never heard him say that about anyone, but of course a knob wouldnt say that
