Sundays Poppy comp cancelled due to a down pour on Saturday. Looks as though we're in for another shocking winter. The dry last two months, and the hollow tining of the entire course in October have done nothing to prevent course closure.

my so reckoned he'd seen a forecast that said we're in for lots of snow this winter.... I hope not as we can cope with rain mostly

I'm sure they forecast a bad winter last year and I ended up , for the first time ever, mowing my lawn between Christmas Day and New Years day. If in November each year you forecast a really bad winter, I guess, eventually you'll get it to come true!

Pretty much been the weather forecast headlines for the last 5 years, along with "hottest summer since records began..... blah". As Chris says, they're gonna get it right one of these days.

I'll believe the weather when they can predict a week in advance correctly
my round last week was called off on day because of rain. We booked two days before was 5% chance of rain

I've just spoke to a bloke who lives where I play, (I'm 15 miles away and sure it rained but not enough to close the course) he said it hosed down from 8pm an Friday night. :angry:
