I said on the waiting for Santa post that he was coming late for me this year but was bringing me a new set of bats.

Obviously Mrs Hawkeye has got a bit nervous about me booking fitting sessions over Xmas so she has just given me my Xmas present early - a two hour fitting session at the Titleist National Fitting Centre at St Ives.

Hawkeye is one very happy golfer :D:D:D

You should try and play the course whilst you're there - interesting inland "links" so if the wind's blowing (it is in The Fens) then it's a tough challenge.

This from the man who shot a gross 75 including a shank and came 2nd in the Christmas comp. I say leave well alone until after we win the knockout (March at this rate). Enjoy it. I know there was money in HID's budget to get some wedges so have a look at the Vokey's - happy days

It's booked for January 6th. I'd love to think I could get the best out of the MBs because they look fabulous but I suspect that won't happen. Aside from that I'm gonna try to let the technology guide me to what's right - as long as they're not fat and ugly. I don't buy new clubs very often so want to make sure I get it right.

Part of the deal is to play the course as well weather permitting. They suggest 9 holes before the fitting and 9 holes after but we'll see.

Nice one mate, I'm going to one myself at their place at Carton House in R.O.I. in February, luckily for me my pro is tagging along to make sure I am swinging right during the session and play with me after. Though unluckily my new shinies and session will not be paid for by HID lol.

But I would love to see a review of your day and maybe some pics.

Very lucky man!

I have had my AP 2's for a year exactly and love them. HJS is right about the vokeys too and if you just top the deal off with a 910 D2 what more could a man ask for?

Do enjoy the day

Chris
