Has anyone had one and would you recommend? I have titleist clubs and love titleist clubs so was tempted to go to gleneagles for a proper fitting.... but the fact I can try several makes and the double value thing is swaying me to getting fitted at American golf.... but is it a proper fitting?

IE do you get several shaft options to try? Do they change length, lie etc to suit? Wraps and grips etc too? Advice and experiences appreciated

Scott Gourley, is excellent

I do like the look of his setup I just wish being a bit of a titleist Fanboy that he stocked them; even if just to discount them against the other brands.... I'd probably lose a bit of money should I have to sell my AP1s online too rather than the trade in at AG

I used AG when Titleist rep was visiting and doing fittings there.
So wasn't strictly an AG fitting! Great experience - very happy, no complaints.

Although after "driver" fitting at AG then "re-fitting" on Trackman I would not go that route next time.
I would spend the extra ££ and do a fitting with an club expert on Trackman.
Not to disrespect the staff at AG, but they are (in my experience) nice chaps but not in same league as other experts.

Go and get custom fit at a Titleist specialist - then get your specs and buy from American Golf

As he says 👍.

I went to Ping HQ at Gainsboro and just loved the whole experience. don't get me wrong I could of gone to our club and been fitted by the pro, who Incidently has just won the England Ping fitter of the year award and come second overall in the UK in a recent comp in USA. But I just fancied going to Ping. Got a price off them and our pro more or less matched it. Support your local club and all that.
Hve been fitted before with the track an type gear but for me you just cannot beat looking at the flight of your ball being struck, both good and bad.

Are you sure he doesn't stock them? he definitely used to, and certainly carries their drivers (am frantically searching my memory of his shop stock as I was in there today.....)

Worth giving him a call if you haven't already

I got fitted at AG for my irons and was really happy with the service I got.
Dealing with the same person who fitted me for my putter about 4 years earlier and someone I have had dealings with in the shop regarding other purchases.

Er I don't want to put the cat amongst the pigeons, but I too was a Titliest fan and had the exact same 714 AP 1s. I swopped to Ping G max and deffo would not go back. Had a quick look at your profile and your wish to get 12.4 may well be hindered by staying loyal to one club. If you are going to try say Scott Gourley, he may point you in the direction of another club maker, which may well help you get to your target easier.
Happy problems. All the best and let us know how you go on.

Personally I wouldn't go to AG and would rather go to an independent fitter where you could try more than one brand, to compare against the Titleist irons but with a far better choice of shaft options

Titleist's current range bucks the trend - all of the other manufacturers have gone for a high launch low spin model across their whole line ups as far as possible (clearly not as easy with bladed offerings) while Titleist have stuck wth a more "workable" higher spin model - as a consequence our own club pro sells next to no Titlest any more as the lower spinning, straighter, longer Mizzie, Srixon & TM win hands down in his fittings for us club hackers
