As you have not stated what these speculative quotes are, please mention them.
Einstein's theory of relativity has been put to the test any number of times, and it has now been described as a perfect theory.
That also goes for quantum theory even if 'nobody understands it' (Richard Feynmann, champion of quantum physics).
I don't think this is entirely accurate. Relativity and quantum physics are not yet compatible with each other - Einstein spent the rest of his life trying to reconcile them.
Also both relativity and quantum physics cannot yet adequately explain dark matter or dark energy (it's why they're still called dark).
Also things like the arrow of time, 2nd law of thermodynamics, why more matter than anti-matter, the finely balance fundamental constants, etc are all open questions.
They may be by far the best explanations we have so far, but they are just one step in a long chain of increased understanding from Aristotle's time. Speculation can be fun but we are miles away from fully understanding. Took 50 years from Higgs boson theory to proving it. We haven't reached perfection yet
