Airport parking near gatwick, any deals to be had

Off on holiday in two weeks and long stay parking at gatwick seems to have rocketed, flying on the 6th, returning on the 17th, anyone know of any places near to gatwick offering parking at sensible rates.

Was getting prices around 30-40 last week, but logged on to book it and its now up into the high 70's
 
Have you looked at any of the hotels near there? A lot of them offer parking if you stay the night before you leave, and it makes life a lot easier if you have a silly o'clock morning flight...
 
You don't live that far away do you, what about a coach that specialises with airport runs?

I take a few mates to Birmingham airport which is 10 minutes up the road from me, drop them off & pick them up for £20.00, Gatwick's a bit far though ;)
 
Oddsocks, clear your Internet cookies and get a new quote, places like this, flights, hotels etc log your quote history and stick the price up. There was a post here ages ago explaining how they do it.

Personally, I would only trust the airport car parks.. But have u looked at getting a transfer from home? I did heathrow where a guy took me, picked up 2 colleagues on route, collected us for less the parking in business for a week...

Those of us round this way have an inherent distrust of minicab firms; there were a number who would take you to the airport and lo & behold your house contents went on holiday whilst you were away..........:angry:

We always do this, often works out cheaper than the cost of parking on it's own and it also gives the feeling of extending your holiday by an extra night :thup:
 
I always use APH in Copthorne. 10 minutes from the airport. Cheaper than airport parking and they drop and collect from right outside. £80 for two weeks last time I used them in July.

The problem with taxi's is delayed flights effecting the cost and unreliable services, if its going to cost 30.00 each way by taxi and 60.00 to park the car, if rather take the cr and have the flexibility
 
You could try parkatmyhouse.com . I have not used it yet but have booked to park on some ones drive 5 mins from the the ship we are sailing on from Southampton. £28.75 for the week
 
We are lucky enough to have friends that own a pub 20 mins from Gatwick, so when we head to Oz for our 4 week Megamoon, we are leaving the car there and jumping in a cab. Total win.
