AG trade in deal on M1 driver

Went to my local AG and got what I think is a great deal.
Got 200 for my g30 against an m1 430 with an aldila rogue silver 70g shaft, the M1 was 349, so cost 150 to trade up, numbers were good so I'm pretty happy so far.

I'd like to post up how this has resolved itself

I exchanged messages with Elmoag (Elliot) on here. Elliot is high up the ladder in AG and subsequently we had a telephone chat where he assured me that it was clearly a communications problem and not a deliberate policy to undervalue the trade in. I am happy to accept his view because no business would want to alienate their customers in such an obvious and ridiculous way and what happened to me wasn't being shouted about here or elsewhere, as far as I could tell, as a general trading method. It seems that the guy I spoke to just had simply misunderstood how it worked - numpty that he probably was when I gave him the chance to think about his offer.

Anyway, I visited the AG branch at Stonelees, Ramsgate today and did a fitting on several drivers and spent time chopping and changing shafts, lofts etc until we found the one, and set up that I liked and the problem was resolved. I am happy with the service that I received, Richard there was knowledgeable and friendly and Elliot was a pleasure to deal with. Clearly, posting here on social media does help bring results but i think the AG of old has now evolved into a company who really do want to get things right and if that is so, good for them!

Glad it worked out mate and good form from Elliott and AG to get it sorted.
What did you end up with ?

Great post Chris, good to see your resolution, enjoy the M2.

Why you just didn't go into a strange pro shop on the morning of a 36 hole comp and just pick one out of the sale bin I'll never know……………

He's tried that ....

Good luck with the new driver Chris, Terry (you met him at Cooden a couple of years ago) won one a couple of months ago and has gained a lot of extra distance - quite scary really.

Good to hear but he was a proper golfer!

Think I may take a jaunt in to AG this weekend. Got a £50 voucher now too...so if I can get £200 trade in value on my G30, I could be laughing. Or I will just get a G Series LS Tec

If it was me I wouldn't be looking at the G series. I love my G30 driver but, having got the M1 3 wood I think that would be the driver for me IF I was changing. The only thing that puts me off is the price tag but if you can pick one up with the trade in why the devil not! I just chose to go 3 wood first as that was the problem for me right now.

Will get an M1 next season I think. There will have been 3 new models by then so I can get one for £100!
