AG trade in deal on M1 driver

Wonder how much they price the 915 up at in their used section?

Don't know but you can be certain that half the local golf course will still be hanging off it, really bothers me that they can't be bothered to clean the used stock before putting it on the floor.

Also what kind of scruff trades in dirty gear?

I think my key gripe is that a few weeks ago it was with £140 but as soon as they have a deal where they double the trade in allowance they " surprise surprise " halve the trade in price - they don't deserve customers !

But in the mean time have Titleist not announced the new 917 range? Which I assume will hit the value of the 915s?

It may do, but if I buy a new 915 from AG today it'll cost £249 and, they say, after 6 rounds it's trade in value is £65 - not a great investment, you'd be upset if your car depreciated that quickly

You could get one off eBay used for about £160.
So if they offered you £130 it's not too bad.
It's the fact that they reckon they're giving you double, that's the problem.

Do people really fall for this crap?
I suppose every village has one 😬.

But don't they estimate a new car loses 20% of its value as soon as it leaves the forecourt? I also agree with others that buying as golf club and expecting it to hold any type of value is a mugs game nowadays.

Especially when they valued it at £140 only a few weeks back. It's a clear con

Or I couldn't cos some great lummox bought it. Have sorted the cause of the problems I was having though, just a tweak to a stronger left hand grip seems to have paid off

Pleased to hear it, does that mean you are coming back next year for another go…………..?

So, AG are offering double the value of your club as a sweetener to trade to an M1 driver. I rang them this morning to work out the numbers. I have a Titleist D2 915 which has seen about 6 rounds and is unmarked, they said the trade in would be approximately £65 X 2 = £130 against the M1 which is £399

I queried that the D2 is £250 currently on their shelf and it seemed a dramatic drop to £65 after just 6 rounds and the answer was "that's what they're worth once used"

Will I do the deal?

NO NO NO NO NEVER!

Just before the 915 come out they offered me £75 for a mint d3 in the agreement that I left a real deal motore f1 in it.

I asked the guy how drug rehab was going.

I apologise That this thread has only been brought to my attention.

There clearly seems to be an error made by the store in the calculation of your trade in amount as you described below.
Please by return could you let me have more details on this including which store you visited.
We have a clear instore process which makes sure that the integrity of the offer is maintained.
In this instance something has went wrong and I'm very keen to understand why.

Please accept my apologies on behalf of American golf
I would really appreciate any further information in order that we may restore your faith that we deliver offers with the upmost integrity

I'm very happy to talk to you about it and have sent you a PM Elliott

They never give you double on trade in, even if that's what they say. I was looking at a knew set of irons last month and they had double PX value. They said my irons were worth £130 on this. I didn't jump on the irons last month but went back this month for them, the offer had then ended and I was offered £118 for my irons. I didn't bother to say anything as I got 2 free wedges with my irons this month which I didn't get before.
