Advice On Best Places to Go To Football Matches Abroad

You go to Dortmund, bear in mind that the ticket includes public transport from the local region (why can't other countries do this??). You can comfortably walk from the station to the ground.

It's handy to know because hotels are often cheaper in nearby towns. We stayed in bochum and had a lovely morning at the mining museum...

Espanyol has a better stadium than the Nou Camp. Hamburg is a favourite of mine as well, but that's mainly because it's where my mums side of the family are from.

Hamburg was a good atmosphere (seen them play Schalke) when over there for a business exhibition.

A bit out of town though, and sadly St.Pauli were away that week.:(

Another place to consider is Valencia - not sure what the new stadium is like but the old stadium was superb and the city is really nice

I think they are still at the old stadium. They are trying to negotiate summat with the council as it has had a big overspend so is 3/4 built so is currently a big white elephant.

Probably Gary Neville's fault.:D

Ive sat in the top tier of the stand that faces the cameras and its like sitting in a helicopter. It felt even higher than the away fan seats at the Nou camp, by the scoreboard.

Stephen , Dortmund is the place to go I've been twice but now you can get tickets direct of there website, cheapest ticket is 17.10 euro. I stayed in Dusseldorf which is about an hour away on the train from there you can go to Schalke, Leverkusen, Koln, , Monchengladbach all within 20-30 mins on the train and very easy to get tickets.
