Tried to pick the winners of the 32 matches yesterday. Didn't do to bad 20 correct and 12 wrong (including Stenson) Good picks with Kucher beating Kim and Anders Hanson beating Lucas Glover. Also had Scott beating Cabrera.

Didn't get the magnificient McGowan beating Stricker. Thought he was excellent especially when he missed the putt on the 18th and all he did was smile then laughed. Harrington was poor as was Fisher, I was expecting more from him. Didn't see Perry and that was a shock against Brian Gay.
I was a bit unlucky with Quiros, but at least he took Weir down the 12th. 8 and 6, that is a spanking.

From what I saw some of the golf was very good, and what about those greens? The commentator said on one putt that he was aiming 25 foot away from the target. I think of myself as a fairly decent putter, but a lot of these greens look 3 and 4 putt territory.

16 matches to choose from today. Thought Casey looked very good.

I'm looking forward to the Els Goosen match. I have a feeling that Ernie could go all the way in this tournament, he's been threatening some good golf for a few weeks now.

Mike Weir was on fire yesterday, wish I had seen more of his match.

Thought both Molinari brothers were very unlucky to be heading home after day one, however I think a little bit of inexperience and some fine play as well as lady luck at crucial points in the matches by their respective opponants killed them.

Poulter V's Scott looks good as does Kaymer V's Tim Clark. Casey V's Weir could be tasty as well as O'Hair V's Cink. Some good viewing tonight hoping.

I agree Craw i think ernie is a good tip for this. His problem with strokeplay recently is that he has had the 1 bad hole that has spoiled his card. But in matchplay it does not matter so i think he has a good chance. on saying that The Goose is a tough person to beat.

I was so so so sad when Kim got beaten.... :(
A crying shame - NOT! :D :D

Ernie might not be a bad bet you know. Lets face it he's as good a Matchplayer as there is and he is showing some form - he puts it down to the new Cally ball.

Talking of Cally balls, does anyone know who won the years supply?

I cannot get over the amount of ad's shown on American TV, they go to a break after every putt. I don't know how the Yanks put up with it. It always spoils the atmosphere for me and to be honest no matter how good the golf is I cannot be bothered to tune in because of it.

I felt sorry for Ollie Wilson last night, he nicks one of the biggest scalps of the day and they interview Rory Mac first!!!....not only that but the yank interviewing him was desperately trying to get Rory to blame Ollie's slow play for the reason he lost!....fair play to Rory he was having none of it.

4 of my favourite players to watch in the semis and cant seperate them. on paper Casey should win but villegas is no slouch and Garcia will find it tough against Poulter. cracking matches in prospect (I hope :p)

Told the mrs I was going to put a 5er on poults at 33/1 begining of week, she said put 10 on. :( Be gutted if he wins now!
