Why are people blaming Poulter, the officials stopped it because greens were flooded. Poulter fared better than most at Birkdale in very poor weather so I think he'd fancy beating Garcia in poor weather. I'm hoping he can beat Garcia too.....not just because I've money on him ;) but as he's one of the players I've changed my mind on liking over the last few years (didn't use to) and cos he's British. Does have a big gob at times but he's matured a lot recently and is working hard to make himself a damn good player too, he's going to be top 10 ranked player after this week I think. Good sense of humour too when he interupted the caddie interview on Sky. ;)

Errrr cos he was heard saying ''I don't want to play'' and it was before they reached the hole with the flooded green....that is enough to blame him in my book plus I think he's a knob. ;)

I too have coin on him but would prefer Garcia to beat him,that said if Pultas does win I hope he brings home my bacon. :p

Interesting debate for the rules, I have to say, Poults has a good point and I would fight for the same decision!
 
I think he did, just never got through the bush. Surely though you'd do the same wouldn't you? From where sergio was a genuine 2 putt chance, you'd have to go for pin in match play.
 
What a joke not allowing the game behind through.

Incidently, why is Casey playing and swinging like a one armed lumberjack this afternoon, just because its wet and cold?????
 
I see what you mean, although I thought he did play to go over the tower and just didn't pull the shot off and ended up at the side
 
Yeah i'd agree with that, I actually missed what happened at rewound it to see if he got the drop but didnt take note of how he set up, where he aimed etc.
 
Saw the drop thing, ended up playing it where it lay didn't he? All you can do is ask the refs and playing partner.
These things happen when you place camera towers next to greens, don't think it reflected badly on Poulter, David Howell thought he was entitled to query the drop.

He's playing well and finished pretty early which will help him with the extra rest as the other 2 look to be out for the duration.

Poulters star is definitely rising, formidable match player. Some of the silly things he's said in the past don't look so silly any more.

Hope he wins tomorrow whomever he plays.
 
I CAN'T BELIEVE VILLEGAS JUST MISSED THAT PUTT.

I might be the only person from the forum still watching but a 4 footer for the match pushed right of the hole. Think they might finish tomorrow morning now

He will be thinking about that one all night! x
 
i'm away to bed now, thought it was over and I bet Casey did too. well played Poulter though and i think he's odds on now to win.
