First of all I apologise, but ive only came here to gloat…..I figured if it’s good enough for Aztec when he hits his driver straight then it’s good enough for me too!

Played in a bogey comp on Sunday, perfect conditions, warm and sunny with little wind, everything was setup for a great round. I wont bore you with all the details, but I finished 9 Up after shooting a gross 72 (Par 71) with only 24 putts. The putter is usually my weak link but just had one of them days where I didn’t expect to miss with it. Was the best score ive shot so far, and the fact it was off the whites in a comp just made it all the more satisfying.

Started the day on 11.8, not sure what my new exact h’cap is but know that im down to 10. Hopefully single figures isn’t too far off. Am playing in the weekly stableford this afty and fully expect normal service to be resumed with a 33 pts

Im just glad that I didnt go to Woodhall Spa otherwise it wouldnt have happened

Not sure of the exact cut until I go to the club later, just know from the scores on the web site that im cut to 10.... so will have 2 shots less today that I did 2 days ago - maybe it will only be 31 pts today then

Call that a write up ? i have seen longer pieces describing one shot at the range.
