Just been looking through some of my old Golfshot rounds and came across this

Anybody else had a storming back 9 after a nearly packing it in on the front? Or have you have a dream of a front, looking at the course record/PB and then just collapsed on the back? I know I have on occasion.

I always like listening to the ifs and buts in the clubhouse after a round, so what caused your resurgence/downfall? Something somebody said? A missed putt? An unlucky bounce....

Honestly couldn't tell you how I managed to shoot that back 9, closest I've been since has been a 33, always seem to blow it when I'm in a good position these days.

Wow that is a great back 9....

TBH I would be happy with shooting your front 9!

In my first ever Medal I scored 61 on the front 9 & 43 on the back.

Absolutely no idea what happened to turn it around!

Last Saturday I was all over the show on the front 9, somehow managed to get to the turn in +6 gross.

Played the back 9 in -1 gross, 8 pars and 1 birdie. That included 6 missed birdie putts and one missed eagle putt. Wasn't disappointed with the putts I hit either, just catching the edges, lipping out etc.

I think I sort of forgot about scoring really after the front 9 as thought I was in for a nightmare all day!

Went from poor drives and irons to playing some of the best golf I've ever played tee to green.
