I’ve always had trouble with the odd pull hook and although I’m not out of the woods, far from it, today I played the first full round that I can remember without a hook. My driving was out of this world splitting the fairway in 13 out 15 holes where I used the driver. Round in 71, one over par, with 3 three putts although 2 two’s and a couple of driller long irons into the wind helped the cause.

That’s it, I’ve put the kibosh on that eh.

Sounds like you have turned a corner, long may it continue.

If I can hit half as many fairways with your old driver as you have today with your new one I will be a happy man.

71, thats good shooting. Sounds as though your hitting it well, long may it continue sir!

I played yesterday, I hit it consistantly but ended up picking it up on the greens as they were that bad. Worst condition that I have ever seen the Castle. Should never have been on the big greens soggy big sponges full of footprints and plug marks.

Letter of complaint winging its way into the club.

God sake, no excuse for plug marks. We were on full greens and tees appart from two greens which makes it worse as you're into 4 putt territory. Yeh hitting the ball solid with all my clubs and that's unusual. The greens were just cut before we set off and they were fast for this time of year.
