Bored at work so I had a look at the odds for Justin Rose to win 2008 European Order of merit, 7/1 what you reckon? Gotta be worth putting a tenner on?

Seems like good odds for the punter to me. Depends obviously how many qualifying events he plays as I heard he is not going to be playing as busy a schedule as last year and may concentrate more in the US.

My bet for the order of merit would have to be either Els or Harrington.

Think they were 5/1, still worth putting some money on.

Will do some research into what Rose is up to?

htl, you can get him at 9/1 on VCbet. 8/1 on lots of other sites.

I always use oddschecker.com to check out my golfing bet prices. Don't put a bet on without checking it first.

Tiger at 3/1 for the Open. 5/2 generally.

I've won a bit on predicting how many Majors Tiger will win in the year in the past. He is at 10/1 to win 3 this year. 7/2 to win 2. So put £30 on him to win 2 (£135) and £10 on him to win 3 (£110) and you'll be at least £70 up. Are there any of us don't think he'll win 2 or 3?

Cheers for that John, will check it out later.

Was tempted to do similar for the Grand National, i.e. betting on every horse, would have won over £100!

Rose only played the minimum amount of events last year and still won the order of merit.

If you have good results in the Majors and WGC events which count towards the European tour, you won't be all that far away from winning the order of merit

22/1 is best you can get for Tiger to do the slam. Generally 20/1. I would want better odds than that.
I remember when Tiger won his first Masters by a country mile, an article in GM said that some bookies were offering 1000 to 1 for him to win all 4 majors that year. The author said how ridiculous this was and said that 1,000,000 to 1 would be more like it. How times have changed!
