I realised I did something very spooky today… Played at South Staffs in 80 (+9) but what made it weird was I went round the front 9 in 40 shots (21 points) and then the back in 40 (19)… for 40 points!!

49 won our stableford on Saturday, a 10 handicapper shot a 68, he is also a genuine golfer. He got cut 3.6 all the same.
but3 40's in a row is excellent golf. well done.

Bayjon, He never scored 3 x 40 points ,It says he scored 40 shots on the front 9,40 shots on the back 9 for 40 points in total......

40 points sounds so good that you would expect to win, but if you happened to be playing a course with, say, par72/SSS68, 40 points would only be playing to handicap.

It was quite windy as well and isn't a wide open easy track. In answer to the bandit post, this is the first time I've been under my handicap (13) this year after working hard to rectify some faults, I don't believe this makes me a bandit, and there was no need to SHOUT.

I shot 22 points in my work society day yesterday. Bloody miserable performance with 6 blobs.......

Day was won with 37 points scored by my boss who hadn't played for 3 years....apparently....
