England have batted first and scored 328/7 from the 40 overs.

Off the top of my head I can't recall us scoreing that many in a ODI before.

Anyone watching it?

Is it just a good batting track or do the Windies just not care?

Im big into cricket and was a member at kent for 6 years.

Have been to very many tests, ODI's and international 20/20 games along with the ICC trophy final at the oval.

I was at the oval the day england won the ashes in 2005 at the oval.

I just avoided the score today until watching cricket on 5.

I thought we batted very well today but were flattered by the WI bowling which was poor.

We bowled reasonably well but nothing to write home about, better sides would have severely punished the short deliveries of broad more severely than WI did today.

Still, I dont see how Flintoff and KP can be assured of a return to the side.

I think Bopara and Shah have done well over these last few games so i agree with MWJ about Flintoff and KP.

If they were both on the top of their games then i'd say they'd be in there but neither has shown too much form prior to their respective injuries

I don't think Flintoff deserves a place at the minute because of the form of others, his own form, and also because of the injuries I don't think the captain could trust him to stay fit. Certainly not for a test match.

As for KP, as well as others are playing I think he has to be in the side somewhere.

What do you guys think about Prior? He's certainly batting well most of the time (so long as they bowl short and wide at him at any rate!!) but his keeping isn't up to snuff at international level for my money. Mind you, I grew up in the era of Jim Parks, Alan Knott and Jack Russell - Prior couldn't hold a candle to any of them!

I think that the priority for a keeper has changed. It appears now that he has to be able to bat respectably at 6 first and be able to keep second. That said, not sure that there are any stand out candidates with the gloves at the moment so batting potential is the basis for selection.

Dont forget my fav , Bob Taylor , now he was a good keeper , not so great with the bat but didnt matter back then with Beefy as the all rounder
